Nova
Scotia's port capital city of Halifax is well known for its fabulous seafood
restaurants, night clubs, and down-east friendly people. Halifax is an
eclectic mix of old and new architecture and home to Canada's oldest church
(St. Paul's), a fantastic waterfront development, and our famous Bluenose II
sailing schooner (depicted on the back of Canada's 10-cent piece). The
historic Citadel Hill fortress, with its well-renowned clock tower, overlooks
downtown and scenic Halifax Harbour. Halifax is home to the Maritime Museum of
the Atlantic, where many artifacts from the sunken Titanic now reside,
including a recovered Titanic deck chair
(depicted below). Laurie
has captured memorable scenes of Halifax in stunning watercolour images, some
of which are available as Limited Edition prints, perma-plaques, and note cards.
